Car repair explored

When we hear the telltale squeaks and squeals that signal the need for brake repair, we know that our brakes have been doing their job well. Our car's brake wear indicators are intended to call our attention to the need for brake repair by scraping against the turning rotor when they wear down, but are you aware of the other signals of the need for brake repair? Brake lights should not be lit unless the parking brake is engaged. If a brake light does come on when the parking brake is disengaged, it's time to have the brake fluid level checked. A brake light will illuminate when the brake fluid level drops too low. Do you smell a pretty pungent odor, or has a pool of light amber colored liquid formed underneath your car? This signals a brake fluid leak that requires immediate attention! Get your car into the shop for brake repair as soon as you can.
