My little rant on blog search
So, what is this "blogging" all about, and what is the secret to its huge popularity? And perhaps more interestingly, how can you benefit from this rampaging global phenomenon that has the entire online world in its grips? The key actually lies in the basic human need to connect to other people. The Internet has opened up so many avenues for ideas exchange and even simply basic communication that our list of contacts grows at an exponential rate. And it is precisely this need to "reach out" to "connect", and to otherwise establish a community with other people that has assured the vast popularity of blogging as an online phenomenon. Of course, there are other ways to reach out to other people online, and avenues such as email and message boards remain in widespread use. However, blogging has got both of those beat with regard to instantaneous and spontaneous exchange.
